Heartfelt Creations Book and Gift Box

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

For this week's Heartfelt Creation Burst of Splendor Collection submission, I decide to make another book and alter a box.
Here's a pic of the box before it was altered.

Here's the altered box. It looks a little different.

You can find the instruction for this project at the end of this posting (it's a little long). If you would like to see some fantastic projects, go to the Heartfelt Creations blog. The design team's projects are just amazing.

Have a Blessed Day
Hugs,
Regina

I would like to send a special "Thank You" to Jim The Gentlemen Crafter. Thank you Jim for your excellent tutorials. I'm finally learning how to make book covers.

WOYWW #217

Hello Everyone,

It's time for What's on Your Work desk? Wednesday. If you like to see what this is all about, head to Julie's blog, Stamping Ground. Here's what's happening on my work desk today.

It's a pretty big mess today, I just finished making the card on the bottom of the picture. I have A LOT of crafting goodies about. A couple of JustRite stamp sets ( wasn't sure which one I wanted to use), there's some Spellbinders dies, distress inks and another inkpad. Packing tape, I just mailed out my design team projects.

On this end end you can see some more trim that I recently purchased and more dies. I finally posted pictures of the altered box, you can see the posting here.

Last week someone asked if the photo tent is working out. Yes it is. My blog projects pictures look so much better.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a Blessed Day
Hugs,
Regina

Heartfelt Creations I Will Hope Card

Hello Everyone,

I made a card using the Heartfelt Creations' Burst of Splendor Collection, and another Heartfelt Creations die set, that I haven't used in awhile.

Instructions: Card Size 6 7/8 x 4 1/2
Began with a 9 x 7 piece of black card stock, score at 4 1/2, fold, place scalloped edge die in the top edge of the folded card base (center), tape down, and cut. Cut (2) 7 x 4 1/4 pieces of Burst of Splendor Collection papers, to die cut the swirl die see video tutorial here, and adhere to the outside and inside of card base.  2nd layer – cut black cardstock to 4 1/4 x 4, cut Burst of Splendor Collection paper to 4 1/8 x 3 7/8, and glue together. 3rd layer- cut black cardstock to 3 5/8 x 3 3/4, cut watercolor paper to 3 1/4 x 3/8, stamp Dahlia Cluster image (twice) onto watercolor paper using black ink, watercolor image with chalk, let dry, fussy cut (1) image, layer onto rectangle cut, and heat emboss image with clear embossing powder.  Stamp Dahlia Bouquet image onto edge of 3rd layer using dusty concord distress ink, and heat emboss using clear embossing powder, and adhere 2nd and 3rd layers onto card base using liquid adhesive. Stamp Hope In The Lord sentiment onto white cardstock using black ink, cut out sentiment, sponge with dusty concord distress ink, and adhere to card base.  Inside card – stamp Dahlia Bouquet image onto the left and right edges of Burst of Splendor Collection layer using dusty concord distress ink, and stamp Trust In The Lord sentiment using black ink.

I really enjoyed using the Layered Elegant Swirl dies, I guess I really need to use them more often.

Now, head on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog, and take a peak at what the other designers have created.

Have A Blessed Day
Hugs,
Regina

WOYWW #216

Hi All,

It's time for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday. If you like to see what this is all about, head over to Julie's blog The Stamping Ground. Here's my desk.

I haven't done much crafting, but I have been working on some heat embossing on the bottom of the pictures, and sketching out some card designs.

Here's some trim I purchased from Hobby Lobby Monday. I've been trying out dying it, just to see how the colors turns out.

I finally ordered a photo tent set. I really need to pay more attention to the measurements of the items I order. As you can see, this is pretty big. I'm just lucky I have a large desk.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a Blessed Day
Hugs,
Regina
