Mother's Day Card

Today's card was created for my mom for Mother's Day. I had a difficult time making this card. My mojo left for destinations unknown, and hasn't retuneded. Basically, I was just winging it, and hoping it turned out alright, and it did. Thank The Lord.

Well that's it for now. I have to get started on a take home final exam that's due Monday.  Graduation is just around the corner, May 10th to be exact. I'm so excited. Take care and have a wonderful day and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

Easter Treat Box 3 For 1

This project was inspired by Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger , JustRite Challenge 053, and My Sheri Challenge. For the Moxie Fab we are challenge to created a paper craft project using the inspiration picture below. Aren't those crepe paper flowers stunning? The JustRite Challenge is to create a project using hand made flowers and JustRite's stamps. My Sheri Challenge #54 the challenge is to create a 3D gift item.

So I created an Easter treat box. I used coffee filter flowers, one of my favorites by Sherry Cheever, on the box and a stamps by JustRite. That little chick is so cute.

The box measures 4w x 4l x 3h, it can hold a good amount of treats. We are junk food junkies.

Sorry for so many picture, I was trying to take one that showed all the details, but it didn't work out. Blame the photographer not the project. Well that's all for now, I have lots of work to do. We are in the final stretch of school, and graduation is around the corner. Yeah!!!

Have a Happy Easter everyone. Blog with you later.
Regina

It's time for  another sketch challenge at The Sweet Stop.  This weeks sketch challenge has a twist. The project we create has to include a "winged thing" to be eligible for the prize. Here's my card.

JustRite Challenge 053

Hello Everyone,

I time for another JustRite Challenge. This weeks challenge is sponsored by Spellbinders, and it is a technique challenge. We are challenge to make our own dimensional handmade flower embellishment for our paper crafted project using JustRite stamps!   This time I decided not to do a card, so I created a cake box instead. The box, border and tag are created from 1 sheet of 12 x 12 double sided paper. A few months ago, I saw a lot of these during a hop, and I have wanted to make one since, so here it is.  To create a the flower, I created Sherry Cheever's Coffee Filter Flower, she has a vidoe tutorial that gives easy to flower instructions. These flowers are fun to create and they always turn out wonderful (which is great). The leaves were created using Spellbinders Daisy Heads leaves die and ribbon. I didn't seal the edges of the leaves, I thought they looked better being a little frayed.

Top view of the cake box. You can see the flower and the iridescent swirl.

I used the following products:
Paper: My Mind's Eye Vine Scroll and Green Grass; Vellum
Stamp: JustRite's All Occasion Nested Sentiments
Die: Spellbinders' Scalloped Circles,Fleur De Lis Borderabilities, Daisy Heads (leaves), and Double Ended Tags
Punch: Martha Stewart's Stamp and Punch Butterfly
Ink: Ranger Distress Ink Pine Needle; Glimmer Mist Viva Pink and Meadow Green
Embellishments: Recollections Iridescent Rhinestone Stickers, We R Memory Keepers' Brad, Michaels' Ribbon
Tool: Spellbinders Grand Calibur; Cricut Expression with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge

Okay, that's it for now. I'll blog with you later.

Masculine Birthday Card and Sympathy Card

Hello Everyone,
Today I have created two cards, a birthday card and a sympathy card. The masculine birthday card was created using a sketch from The Sweet Stop #103 and Masculine Sara Papers by Paper wishes.

The second card I needed to make and mail was created using Card Patterns Sketch #109. When I saw this sketch, I knew it would be perfect for a sympathy card. My hubby's uncle passed away last week, I wanted to send a card to his aunt to let her know she is in our thoughts and prayers.  I hate doing sympathy cards, but if I have to make a sympathy card, it should be nice.

Well I hope that everyone will have a wonderful week. I should be posting something else soon. I have more free time now.

JustRite Challenge 052

Hello Everyone,
It's time again for the JustRite Challenge 052: Color and Inspiration. I finally received my new Grand Calibur (it's my new bestfriend). I couldn't wait to make a shaped card with the Grand Nesties, and this challenge gave me a chance to brake out Nellie, that's the name of my Grand Calibur, and get to playing. So, for this weeks JustRite's challege, we are challenged to use the following colors or inspiration photo. I used them both.

You may either use the overall photo as inspiration for your project OR the color palette from the photo.  You may use one, any combination, or all of the colors listed.  Copic color equivalents, given for reference only, are:
Y21-Buttercup Yellow
YR65-Atoll (coral/apricot)
YG63-Pea Green (spring green)
B63-Light Hydrangea (violet blue)

On this card, I cut out some of the flowers from the background paper and adhered them to the frame, using foam squares, that I created using the Grand Nestie Label Four #3 and  the regulas Label Four #5. Using Martha Stewart's garden trellis punch, I punch two 6 inch trellis borders and attached them together to create the center of the frame. I didn't have any Buttercup Yellow paper, so I colored in some of the white flowers with my Copic Y21 marker.

Products Used:
Paper: K & Company's Classic K Charlotte
Stamps: JustRite's All Occasion Nested Sentiments
Dies: Spellbinders' Grand Nestabilities Labels Four #3 , and Label Four #5; Cuttlebug's Fancy Tags
Punch: Martha Stewart's Garden Trellis
Copic: Y21
Ribbon: Michaels
Tools: Spellbinders Grand Calibur; Cuttlebug

Well that's all for now, I need to get some studying done. Have a Wonderful Weekend.

Much love,
Regina
