Sweet Shop Sketch #100

Today's post will be short and sweet, I need to get back to studying, but I needed to take a creative brake. For this card, I wanted to try something a little different, so I used the Sweet Shop Sketch #100, and a technique that I learned for Sherry Cheever's blog to create the coffee filter flowers.

JustRite Challenge 053 - Thank You Card

For this weeks JustRite Challenge, participants are challenge to create a Random Act of Kindness card or gift.  I choose to create a card. I brought out some my oldies but goodies, Ecstasy Craft 3D die cut pictures. I've had these for awhile and have only used once. I thought it was time to bring them out for some air.

Spring Birthday and Anniversary Cards

Birthday Card
With all the studying I've been doing this week, I was having a difficult time trying to figure out a design for the 2 cards I needed to make today (my mojo had left me). Luckily I was able to use one the last month's sketches from MoJo Monday #179 (thank God). I made a birthday and an anniversary card for my sis and her hubby. It's a little feminine, I hope he doesn't mind.

Anniversary Card
Since I was using 12 x 12 paper, I was able to do a 2 for 1 deal. I just used different sentiments. I'm sure no one else has ever done this before :).

I couldn't decorated the envelopes as much as I wanted, because they maybe damage in the postal system. But I was able to add some trim, and tag and line the inside of the envelope.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 92

1st Workdesk Right Side
This post is for What's On Your Work desk Wednesday at Stamping Ground. I thought it would be fun the join in this week.
Currently I'm in the middle of several things, unfortunately none of them have to do with crafting at this time. I'm a part-time Accounting student, due to graduate in May, I'm studying for the GMAT that I take in April. So what's on my work desk? Lets begin, on the 1st work desk, I have all my study materials. There are 3 book to study for the GMAT, and books for my management class (oh I forgot, I have to study for this case as well). There are supplies I need to put away after making a Happy Anniversary card for my DH. Russell Stover's chocolates for that quick energy boost (I could use one now), any old excuse to eat chocolate will due.

1st Workdesk Left Side

2nd Workdesk
Workdesk number 2 has some of my 4yr old things (I'm a SAHM). In between studying, I have to work on his learning skills, and story time. Now he's learning to spell (sweetie can you spell STRESSED). I have my favorite tools, and some samples of techniques I hope to use in the future.

MoJo Monday Sketch Challenge - Anniversary Card

Today is my and my husband's 8th anniversary.  I'm always trying to find new techniques I can use to make his card without making them too girlie. So this is what I came up with this time with the help of  MoJo Monday card sketch. I used different shades of gray because it's my DH favorite color (smoke gray). The stamp image was heat embossing with 10 layers of embossing powder.  The bows I learned from Becca Feeken tutorial (peg bows) she is a very talented lady.

Products Used:
Paper: C-Thru Ruler Company's Grey Damask and Grey Hugs & Kisses; Bazzill's Chandler; Gina K. Designs' Pure Luxury Smoke Slate
Stamps: JustRite's Just a Note, Loving Thoughts, All Occasion Nested Sentiments, and 2" Borders
Dies: Spellbinders' Circles, Scalloped Circles, and Fancy Tags
Border Punch: Martha Stewart's Arch Lattice
Ink: Memento's Tuxedo Black; Memories Directs Silver and Gray; VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad
Ribbon: Offray's Pewter
Tools: Martha Stewart's Score Board; Crafter's Edition Glue Gun and Glue Sticks; Ranger Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder Black and Clear: Archiver's Static-Away Pillow; Cuttlebug

Matching Gift Box

I apologize for the bad photography. One of these days I'll be able to buy a better camera.

JustRite Challenge 050 - Fan Card

I wanted to enter another card, I wasn't that pleased with my last entry.  So this time I tried something a more girlie card using pinks and soft yellow. This one turned out much better than it looks in the pictures (one of these days I'll get a better camera). Well I hope you like it. For the stamped image, I use 10 layers of embossing power to give the entire image a glazed affect (sorry it doesn't show well on camera).

This time, instead of creating a envelope, I need to create a box because this card is pretty thick.
Gift Box
Here's a pricture of both of them together. Sorry for the lousy photography.

JustRite Challenge 049 Technique: Direct To Rubber - Treat Box

I didn't have any markers, my last markers dried out (they were really cheap). So I used these ink dabbers that I had instead. I used 3 different colors on the flowers and sentiment.  Inking wasn't as precise as with markers, but I  do like how the flowers turned out. I cut out each flower,  and adhered them to the box.
The box was a design I found on Theresa Momber blog. I changed it a little for this challenge.
Box measures: 5.5"; H x 1.5" D x 3.5" W

Products Used:
Stamps: JustRite All Occasions Nested Sentiment and Verse; Plant a Little Love
Die Cut: Spellbinders - Fancy Tags
Ink: Memories Direct Ink Dabbers - Hot Pink, Yellow and Spring Green
Martha Stewart Punches - Garden Trellis and Arch Lattice
