Heartfelt Creation Cascading Fuchsia Tutorial and Video

Hello All,

Here's a quick and simple watercolor tutorial I made for the Heartfelt Creations blog using Heartfelt Creations products and Spectrum Aqua markers.

Other products used for project other than Heartfelt Creations: Spellbinder Grand Ovals, Victorian Tags; Spectrum Aqua Burgundy, Moss; Black Cardstock; Canson Watercolor Paper (90lb/140gsm); Waterbrush 



Step 1. Stamp Fuchsia Cluster image onto watercolor paper using Tuxedo Black ink.

Step 2. Trace around cascading fuchsias with Spectrum Aqua burgundy marker.

Step 3. Using a Waterbrush, spread color starting from top of flower pulling the ink down.



Step 4. Trace around foliage with a Spectrum Aqua moss marker.

Step 5. Spread color starting from center of leaves pulling the ink to the edge.



Step 6. Place die over image, add burgundy ink around the inside, blend ink with Waterbrush, and die cut image.
 

Step 7. Die cut black cardstock using Decorative Oval die.

 

Step 8. Cut a 5 x 7 piece of black cardstock, cut a 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, and glue to card base. Stamp Heart Sentiments image onto watercolor paper using Tuxedo Black ink, die cut sentiment using Victorian Tags die, and adhere sentiment to card using foam dots.

Hello Everyone,

Here's this week's Heartfelt Creations design team posting.

Card size is 5 x 7. Start with a blank card base, cut a 5 x 7 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, glue paper to card base, cut a 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, and glue to card base. Die cut Cascading Fuchsia paper and chipboard using 5 x 7 Matting Basics B #6 & #5 dies, and glue die cuts together. Die cut white cardstock using Decorative Oval die, cut die cut into 4 pieces, glue die cut pieces to the back of rectangle frame, and glue die cuts to card base. Die cut Cascading Fuchsia paper and chipboard using Grand Ovals #2 die, glue die cuts together, and glue die cuts to card. Stamp Fuchsia Cluster image onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, color image with Copic markers, die cut image using Grand Ovals #1 die, sponge with Aged Mahogany distress ink, remove die, and glue die cut to center of first oval die cut. Stamp Everyday Hero Newsprint banner and Heartfelt Sentiments images onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, die cut images using Everyday Heroes die, color die cut with Copic marker R37 and distress ink, trim die cut, and glue die cut to card.

Heartfelt Creations Fuchsia Bouquet

Hello Everyone,

Here's another Heartfelt Creations design team posting featuring the Cascading Fuchsia Collection.

Card size is 5 x 7. Start with a blank card base, cut a 5 x 7 piece of Scarlet Jewel cardstock, glue cardstock to card base, cut a 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, and glue to card base. Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Scarlet Jewel cardstock, glue to card, cut a 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 card front from Cascading Fuchsia paper, and glue to card. Die cut Hibiscus Burst cardstock using Classic Ovals Large #5 die, glue to the center of card front, die cut Scarlet Jewel cardstock using Fleur de Elegance #2 die, and glue die cut to center of card front. Stamp (2) Fuchsia Bouquet images onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, color images with Spectrum Noir and Copic marker, die cut 2nd image using Classic Oval Large #4 die, glue die cut to center of card front, fussy cut pieces of other image, and adhere to first image using  foam squares. Stamp Heartfelt Sentiment images onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, die cut images using Everyday Heroes dies, add Hibiscus Burst cardstock behind banner die cut, and glue die cuts to card.

Here's today's Heartfelt Creations design team posting using the Cascading Fuchsia Collection.

Card size is 5 x 7. Start with a blank card base, cut a 5 x 7 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, and glue paper to card base. Stamps Fuchsia Bouquet image onto a piece of watercolor paper using Tuxedo Black ink, color image with Spectrum Aqua markers, and glue to card base. Stamp (1) large (2) medium Cascading Fuchsia images onto white cardstock using Rose Bud ink, die cut flowers using Cascading Fuchsia, color flowers with Aged Mahogany and Peeled Paint distress ink, and shape flowers using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Start with large Fuchsia, glue smaller inside larger flower, poke hole in the center of flower, run wire through center, glue flower backing to Fuchsia, roller stamen using ,add bead to wire, and hot glue stamens to center of flowers. Die cut Cascading Fuchsia paper and Chipboard using 5 x 7 Matting Basic A #7 and Grand Ovals #2 dies, die cut white cardstock using Decorative Oval die, cut die cut into 4 pieces, glue die cuts together, hot glue flowers to frame, trim wire, and adhere die cut frame to card base using foam dots. Stamp Everyday Hero Newsprint banner and Heartfelt Sentiments images onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, die cut images using Everyday Heroes dies, glue die cuts together, and glue die cuts to card.

Heartfelt Creations invites you to join us for a stroll through a quaint cottage garden where your cares will melt away and your creative energy will be refreshed and renewed.  The Cascading Fuchsia Collection of stamps, dies and papers is bursting with lush greenery and exquisite beauty.  Here, you'll find pendant shaped clusters of show-stopping pink, purple and magenta blossoms that are also called "Angel's Earrings."  Graceful vines, lacy patterns, flitting butterflies, shady bowers and delicate latticework come together and form this restful haven.  It's a celebration of the simple things that fill this moment in time with wonder and spontaneous joy.  Cascading Fuchsia: It's a flawless garden of peerless delight and a creative sanctuary for the artist in you.

Card size is 5 x 7. Start with a black card base, score one half to the card base at 2 1/2, and fold. Cut (2) 2 3/8 x 6 7/8, pieces of Cascading Fuchsia paper, cut (2) 21/4 x 6 3/4 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, sponge edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink, glue smaller piece of paper to larger, and glue pieces to the top of card. Cut a (1) 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 and (1) 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, sponge edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink, glue pieces together, and glue paper to the inside of card. Stamp Vining Fuchsia image onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, color image using Spectrum Noir and Copic markers, die cut image and white cardstock using Grand Oval #3 die, sponge around Vining Fuchsia image using Antique Linen distress ink, die cut Cascading Fuchsia paper using Decorative Oval die, cut oval die cut in half, glue pieces to the back of Vining Fuchsia image, glue remaining oval die cut to the back of Vining Fuchsia image, and glue die cut to card. Cut stamp images from Cascading Fuchsia paper, sponge edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink, cut a 1 1/5 x5 1/2 piece of Cascading Fuchsia paper, sponge edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink, glue pieces together, and adhere to inside of card using foam squares. Cut a sentiment strip from Cascading Fuchsia paper, trim sentiment of 6 ¾, sponge edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink, cut a 1/2 x 6 3/4 pieces of Cascading Fuchsia paper, sponge edges with Aged Mahogany distress ink, glue pieces together, and adhere to card using foam squares. Stamp (1) large and (1) medium Cascading Fuchsia images onto white cardstock using Rose Bud ink, die cut flowers using Cascading Fuchsia, color flowers with Rose Bud and Rhubarb Stalk ink, and shape flowers using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Stamp Leafy Branch leaves onto white cardstock using Olive Grove, die cut leaves using Leafy Branch Die, color leave with Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove ink, and shape leaves.  Start with large Fuchsia, glue smaller inside larger flower, poke hole in the center of flower, run wire through center, glue flower backing to Fuchsia, roll stamens , and hot glue stamens to center of flowers. Glue leaves to the back of flower, trim wire, hot glue flowers to card, and glue more leaves to card to cover wire. Hot glue bow to card, and adhere jewels to card.

Stamp (3) large (2) medium Cascading Fuchsia images onto white cardstock using Rose Bud ink, die cut flowers using Cascading Fuchsia, color flowers with Rose Bud and Rhubarb Stalk ink, and shape flowers using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Stamp Leafy Branch leaves onto white cardstock using Olive Grove, die cut leaves using Leafy Branch Die, color leave with Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove ink, and shape leaves.  Start with large Fuchsia, glue smaller inside larger flower, poke hole in the center of flower, run wire through center, glue flower backing to Fuchsia, roll stamens , and hot glue stamens to center of flowers. Glue leaves to the back of flower, twist wire together, and cut wire. Adhere Scor-Tape to ribbon, wrap ribbon around exposed wire an, cut ribbon leaving 1 inch, and attach the ribbon to the ornament. Add ribbon and trim to ornament using Scor-Tape, and add ribbon and bow to ornament.

Hello Everyone,

Here's today's Heartfelt Creations posting using the Everyday Heroes Collection.

Card size is 6 x 6. Start with a 6 x 12 piece of black cardstock, score at 6 inches, and fold. Cut a 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 piece of Everyday Heroes paper, lightly distress edges, sponge edges with Gathered Twig distress ink, and glue to card base. Die cut (4) flourishes from black cardstock using Cut Mat Create 2A delicate flourish die. Cut a 4 1/8 x 4 3/8 piece of black cardstock, stamp My World image onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, trim image to 4 x 4 1/4, distress edges, sponge image with Gathered Twig, Frayed Burlap and Ices Spruce distress inks, glue image to black cardstock, glue flourishes to back to black cardstock, and glue image to center of card. Stamp (2) My World globe images onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, color images with Gathered Twig, Frayed Burlap and Ices Spruce distress inks, die cut images and chipboard using Everyday Heroes globe die, glue die cuts together, and glue die cuts to card.
