WOYWW #245

Hello Everyone,

It's What's On Your Work desk? Wednesday. If you would like to know what this is all about, head on over to Julia's blog, Stamping Ground.

Here's my desk.
This has been a busy, busy couple of days, and it shows. I needed to make 21 bookmarks (90% finished),  fill treat bags with candy (finished), makes a gift for the teacher (40% finished), and have my son fill out the cards (hasn't even started), all in time for my son's class Valentine's Day party on Thursday (Friday is the first day of winter break). The stamp and die set I order, for the bookmarks, arrived on Monday.  I die cut, stamped, colored, sponged, added the kids' on the back of the bookmarks, and now all that's left is to laminate them (of course I'm out of laminating film).

The red heart box is for my son's teacher. I need to finish the flowers, add die cut hearts on top, and fill with chocolates.
Here's the other side my desk. The Copics I used to color the bookmarks, some new dies I ordered, another heart box, and my flower making tools.

After I got to a good stopping point with the bookmarks, I began making flowers for the heart box.  I'm using one of my new die sets, Sizzix Susan's Garden Mini Daisy. This is my first time using these dies, it's a lot of work, but it was a relaxing process. All these die cuts turned into ......

.....these flowers. Not too bad for my first try
.
It's been a mad dash trying to get everything done by Thursday.

Update..I received an email, due to inclement weather, school will be closed Wednesday and Thursday. Oh well.

Have a Blessed Day

JustRite Friday Challenge #113 - In The Background

Hello everyone,

Today I have a card that I made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #113 - In the Background. For this challenge we are to use a background stamp or any JustRite stamps to create your own custom designer paper and to use one of the techniques shown on Tutorial Tuesday OR show something new!

Here's my card.

I  used a technique I found in Darsie Bruno's Butterfly vines cling background stamp tutorial. I created my own background by randomly stamping the daisies from the Botanical Medallions & Banners and the single flower from the Grand Sentiments stamp sets  onto white cardstock using VersaMark ink, and heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder. I randomly applied the pink Gelatos to color the background using baby wipes. I stamped and heat embossed the frames and sentiment from the Enjoy the Day Vintage Label Four stamps set, die cut using the Vintage Labels Four dies, and colored using pink Gelatos. The die cuts were layered with foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have A Blessed Day

Hugs,

Regina
