Heartfelt Creations You Inspire Me

Hello All,

Here's this week's Heartfelt Creations design team posting. This week I wanted to try making my own background.

Card size is 5 x 7. Start with a blank card base, cut a 5 x 7 piece of brown cardstock, glue to card base, cut a 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 piece of gold cardstock, and glue to card base. To create background, cut 4 3/4 x 6 3/4 piece of glossy cardstock, pour alcohol inks and blending solution over cardstock, use heat gun to move ink around cardstock, dust cardstock with gold embossing powder, heat set embossing powder, and glue cardstock to card (see video tutorial here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvRKaalC7Bo&feature=youtu.be). Cut a 4 7/8 x 3 1/8 piece of brown cardstock, cut a 4 3/4 x 3 piece of gold cardstock, and glue cardstock pieces together. Stamp Everyday Hero Newsprint images and sentiment onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, sponge images with Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twig, Vintage Photo, and Walnut Strain distress inks, trim newsprint image to 4 1/8 x 2 7/8, glue to gold cardstock, adhere to card using foam dots, die cut banner using Everyday heroes banner die, glue to brown cardstock, trim around image, glue to gold cardstock, trim around image, and adhere to card using foam dots.

Here's this week's Heartfelt Creations design team posting using the Everyday Heroes Collection.

Box size is 6 x 4 x 2. Start with (2) 8 1/2 x 10 pieces of Smokey Shadow cardstock, to make box bottom score (1) cardstock at 2 inches on all four sides, snip one corner on all sides, fold at score lines and glue flaps.  To make box top score at 1 7/8 on all four sides, snip one corner on all sides, cut (1) 4 3/8 x 5 7/8, (2) 1 7/8 x 5 7/8 (2) 1 7/8 x 4 3/8 pieces of Everyday Heroes paper, sponge edges with Black Soot distress ink, and glue pieces to box top. Die cut Smokey Shadow paper using Baby Bunting #6 die, trim 1/8 off 3 sides, lightly distress edges, and glue to box. Die cut Everyday Heroes paper using Baby Bunting #6 die, lightly distress edges, sponge edges with Black Soot distress Ink, and glue die cut to box.  Die cut Smokey Shadow and chipboard using Everyday Heroes Die, glue die cuts together, and glue die cuts to box. Stamp Everyday Hero and Everyday Hero Newsprint images and sentiment onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, die cut images and chipboard using Everyday Heroes dies, glue die cuts together, and glue die cuts to box. Glue box flaps. Glue pearls to box.

Heartfelt Creations You Are My Anchor

Hello All,

Here's my second Heartfelt Creations design team posting using the Everyday Heroes Collection.

Card size is 5 x 7. Start with a blank card base, cut a 5 x 7 piece of black cardstock, cut a 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 piece of Everyday Heroes paper, sponge edges of paper with Black Soot distress ink, glue Everyday Heroes paper to black cardstock, add twine and seed beads, and glue to card base. Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 5/8 piece of black cardstock, tear bottom edge at an angle, stamp My Anchor image onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black ink, cut cardstock to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, tear bottom edge of cardstock at an angle, distress edges, sponge image with Antique Linen, Gathered Twig, Tumbled Glass, and Stormy Sky distress inks, sprinkle with water, and glue to black cardstock. Stamp the anchor from the My Anchor stamp, die cut anchor using Everyday Heroes anchor die, add twine, adhere anchor to card using foam squares, and glue My Anchor image to card. Cut stamps images from Everyday Heroes paper, glue images to a 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 pieces of black cardstock, and glue images to card.

Tip: For adding seed beads to twine. Put a little glue to the tip of the twine, twist the twine into a point, and let dry.

Die cut white cardstock using Grate Effect dies, light sponge die cut with Broken China distress ink, and glue die cut to card. Die cut black cardstock using Cut Mat Create 2A rectangle die, die cut Everyday Heroes paper using Cut Mat Create 2B rectangle die, sponge around die cut using Black Soot distress ink, glue die cuts together, and adhere to card using foam dots. Die cut Everyday Heroes paper and chipboards using Everyday Heroes die, glue die cuts together, and adhere to card using foam dots. Stamp Everyday Hero sentiments onto white cardstock using black ink, die cut larger sentiment using Standard Circles Large #4 die, die cut buckle and straight sentiment using Everyday Heroes buckle and banner dies, sponge die cuts with Broken China Tumbled Glass, and Black Soot distress inks, glue die cuts together, and glue die cuts to card.

Cut a 2 1/2 x 5 3/4 piece of black cardstock, cut a 2 3/8 x 5 5/8 piece of Everyday Heroes paper, cut triangle out of one end, lightly distress edges of Everyday Heroes paper, and glue pieces together, and glue to card. Cut a 2 x 4 3/4 piece of black cardstock, cut a 1 7/8 x 4 5/8 piece of Everyday Heroes paper, cut triangle out of one end, lightly distress edges of Everyday Heroes paper, and glue pieces together, and glue to card. Cut a 2 3/4 x 3 5/8 piece of black cardstock, cut a 2 5/8 x 3 1/2 piece of white cardstock, stamp You Inspire Me sentiment onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black paper, sponge sentiment with distress inks, glue pieces together, and adhere to card using foam dots.
