JustRite Friday Challenge #089 - Anything Goes

Hello,

I have card that I made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #89 - Anything Goes. For this challenge we are to create something with one of our FAVORITE stamp set(s) and tell WHY it is our favorite. Picking a favorite stamp set is a little difficult for me, because I have a lot of favorite, and my favorite set changes depending on what I making at the time.

In this card you can see quite a few of my favorite stamps. The background was created with a stamp. I heat embossed the stamp using black embossing powder on white cardstock. It's one of my faves because I LOVE the elegant look of this stamp. The die imagine was stamped and die cut with a matching stamp and die set, and it's one of my faves because of that reason. There are matching dies for the stamps set. I'm not a huge fan of fussy cutting, although I have done a lot of it. The sentiment is one of my faves, because I can mix and match the sentiments to make different cards for different occasions.

Well that's all for me. Have a Blessed Day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

JustRite Friday Challenge #088 - Sketch Part 2

Hello Again,

Today I have another card that I'm entering into the JustRite Friday Challenge #088 - Sketch. This is the card I originally had in my mind to make. I was waiting for an order to arrive, and I wasn't it would arrive in time.  I made the first card, in the previous posting, just in case.

The background paper and banners were cut and mounted on pink cardstock.  I stamped the focal and sentiment onto white cardstock, colored with markers, sponged it with distress ink to tone down the bright white, and cut them out with dies. I die cut the oval to frame the card focal. The flower was made using the background paper and a die. I died the ribbon pink, using a distress stain, to match the card.

I'm not sure which card I like the best. I like them both for different reason. So, let me know which one you like? and why?

Well, that's all for me. Have a Blessed day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

JustRite Friday Challenge #088 - Sketch

Hello Everyone,

Today I have a card that I created for the JustRite Friday Challenge #088, and this time the it's a sketch challenge. We are to create a project using the following sketch.

Here's the card I made using the above sketch.

There are no special techniques in this card. The background and banners were cut from pattern paper and mount on black cardstock. The label was stamped onto pattern paper and cut out using a JustRite die. The square was cut out, inked, and turned on its side. And the sentiment was stamped onto some cream cardstock, cutout with a die and shaded with some distress ink.

Well that's it for me. I have to help my hubby get some painting done. Have a Blessed Day and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

January Stack-a-holic Template Challenge - My Boy

Hello Everyone,

I'm still trying to get some of my scrapbooking done that has been building up for awhile. I really can't see how I will every get it all done, but I'm decided to just take baby steps. Do a page here and there until most of it's done. Well I'm off to a decent start. I've completed two pages in one week.

Today's layout is of a my son's pre-k photo.  I will be entering this on into the January Stack-a-holic Template Challenge at DCWV Diary. For this challenge we will use this sketch and we have to use a DCWV stack.

Here's my layout.

Here's the sketch

I use a couple of different paper stacks on this layout, but kept the layout monochromatic and I kinda stuck to the sketch.. All the patterned papers were cut and back with black so they would stand out and not fade into the background.

The two larger flowers were made using some of my favorite Spellbinder dies from one of the paper that was used in the background.. The flourishes is also made from a die and the black paper.

The smallest flowers were some that I purchased. They were originally a cream color, I sprayed them with some distress ink so that would match the layout.

Well that's it for me. I hope you all have a Blessed day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

My Sheri Crafts Challenge #101 - All Sports

Happy New Year everyone,

Well it's a new year, and I'm putting away the upsets of the past, getting back to the basic, and doing the things that I enjoy (i.e. reading the Bible, crafting and entering challenges).

For my first posting of the year, I decided to create a scrapbook page and enter it into the My Sheri Crafts Challenge #101 - All Sports at My Sheri Crafts. For this challenge we are to show some love to the athletes in our lives by creating a project with their favorite sport. So pulled my, much neglected, Cricut off the shelf, and I did a scrapbook layout of my son's soccer photos.

I kept this layout clean and simple, since this page will be frame and hung in my son' room. I didn't add my usual items (flower or swirls)

Well that's all for me. It has been a long day. Have a Blessed week. I'll blog with you again later.

Hugs,
Regina
