Hello Everyone,

It's time for another What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday. You can join in on the fun. Just head on over to the Stamping Ground.

Today, and for the rest of the week, I'm working on creating some flowers, daisies to be exact. I have some daisy patch dies and stamps. I'm trying different styles and techniques.  I'm also working on some faux porcelain flowers (pink and green flowers. There's some seam binding I dyed for a card I made. I still have my new dies on the desk. I'm working them into my new projects. There is also a die I need to exchange for a different one.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what happening on my work desk. I'm heading over to take a look at a few desk.

Have a Blessed day and I'll blog with you later

JustRite Friday Challenge #093 - Suddenly Spring

Hello Fellow Crafters,

Today I have card that I will be entering into the JustRite Friday Challenge #093 - Suddenly Spring. For this challenge, we are to create a spring themed project.  I used pastel colors, flowers and butterflies.

The focal was stamped on white cardstock, die cut, inked before the dies are removed, and inked after the the dies were removed. I stamped the butterflies, inked, fussy cut and attached to card using foam squares.

The flowers were made using a faux porcelain technique. I've previously tried this technique using UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel), but this time I used ice resin. I really like using the ice resin because I got excellent coverage on the flowers (not too thick), and it gives the flowers a pretty shine.

Flower Instructions
1. Roll and shape the flowers
2. Mix the ice resin according to the manufacturer's instruction
3. Dip flowers in ice resin and allow to per the manufacturer's recommend time
4. Once dry, attach to card.

Well this it for me. Thanks you so much for stopping by. Have a Blessed day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

JustRite Friday Challenge #092 - Make It Pop Part 2

Hello,

I'm playing around with another gift from my DH. Well, he actually gave me a new Spellbinders Grand Caliber, 10 new Spellbinders die sets, bezels, an embossing folder, and the magnetic space plate. Have I told you all how much I LOVE that man.

With all that said. I made another card for the JustRite Friday Challenge #092 - Make It Pop Challenge using one of my new die sets.

I LOVE this die. I usually don't make A2 size card, I prefer A7, but I will be making more .

To make this card I started with an 4 1/4 x 11 piece of purple cardstock, and score at 5 1/2. I cut a piece of pattern paper to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and glued to purple card base. I die cut the Filigree die, added foam squares, and attached to pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment onto cream cardstock, die cut, sponged before removing paper from die, removed die, sponged the edges, added foam squares to back and adhered to center of Filigree die cut.

I die cut the flowers from cream cardstock and pattern paper,  sponged the edges with distress ink, rolled and glued.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog. Have a Blessed day, and I'll with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

Playing With New Toys - Bezel and Ice Resin

Hello Everyone,

For my 10th wedding anniversary my DH gave me some bezels and ice resin as a gift. So, today I was finally able to play. I wanted to make a simple project, a key chain that holds a pic of my DH and DS. Here it is.
I cut, rolled and dipped the flower into some ice resin. After the flower dried, I placed in into the bezel and poured filled the bezel with resin.

Lessons I learned:
1. Make sure the item that is glued to the bottom of the bezel is completely dried. I was a little impatient, and my photo floated to the top.

2. Make sure the bezel is on a level surface.

3. The largest heart bezel takes a lot of ice resin to fill it. It's better to mix more ice resin than you think you will need.

Thanks for taking time to stop by. Have a Blessed day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

Mojo Monday 284

Hi All,

Today's card is one I'm entering into the Mojo Monday 284 challenge.

The sketch

For this card, I used some Heartfelt Creations stamps. I stamped the rose 3 times. I stamped the center rose first, masked the image with a post-it note, stamped the side roses, inked the edges of the cardstock with distress ink, and matted on black cardstock. Each layer of pattern paper is matted onto black cardstock giving it a 1/16 frame around the edges. The sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock, die cut then embossed, inked with distress ink while the paper was still in the die, and matted onto another die cut.

Thanks for taking time out to visit my blog. Have a Blessed day. I'll blog with you later

Hugs,
Regina

WOYWW #197

Hello everyone,

Welcome to another What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Here's what's on my work desk.

I finished a card for the Mojo Monday challenge. I'm trying to get more organized this year, and I've finished organizing my Copic markers into their new container, and organized some of my stamps.

I still trying to decide what I want to put into my new Spellbinders heart bezels, and waiting on some more supplies to arrive in the mail. My bead and beading tools will be used with the to add bead to the bezels.

Update: Per a viewer's request. I'm posting some pics of my Copic and stamp storage.

Here's my ArtBin Double Deep Copic storage case. This case is made to hold several item in different compartments (using the dividers).

I removed the smaller divided and replaced them with theArtbin Marker Storage Tray  insert. The case hold 4 trays, each tray holder 64 markers = 256 markers. My hubby purchased the cases from JoAnn's when they were 50% off.

This is how I'm storing my stamps at this moment. Each bin holds a different company's stamps and dies. The dies are in the DVD case, and the stamps are in their original packaging. I have 6 of these bins. This isn't really working for me, because I have to go in and out of plastic all the time. And my matching dies are in a different container.

This is what I'm changing to. I found these containers from Crafter's Companion. The panels can hold my stamps on one side and the matching dies on the other side. The case can hold up to 6 panels.

I purchased the larger Crafter's Companion container to hold my larger die sets.

These work really well for storing Spellbinders Grand, Accents and Motifs, and Edgeabilities die.

Disclaimer: I did not work for any of these companies. I'm just showing the cheapest places to find the items since I've already done the leg work.

Well that's it for me. Thanks for taking time to see what's on my work desk.  Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Regina

JustRite Friday Challenge #092 - Make It Pop

This card will be entered into the JustRite Friday Challenge #092 - Make it Pop challenge. For this challenge we are to use dimensional foam adhesives in our project AND make it a birthday card.

I cut the pink cardstock to 5 x 6 1/2, mounted onto a blank card base, and stamped the corners.  I then matted pattern paper onto green cardstock and adhered them onto the pink background.  The sentiment was stamped on to white cardstock, then mounted onto the pink cardstock, and then mounted onto the green cardstock.

The focal was inspired by some Ecstasy Craft die cut flowers. So to get the same affect. I stamped the flower 4 times, color the images, cut out different parts of the flower and layered with foam squares.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog. Have a Blessed day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina
