Here's the gift box. I have a question. Have ever had this happen to you, or something simular. You've worked on a project for over a week, or just worked hard on a project. You finally get it completed. You look at your work and admire how well it turned out. Suddenly you realize something is missing. If not, I just experienced that moment. I was looking at over a week's worth of work, and I realized, my DH birthday card doesn't say Happy Birthday anywhere on it or in it. I'm looking at it thinking "Are You Serious?" Now I have to think of a way to add a tag or something that says Happy Birthday without it looking like an after thought. So here's my solution...LOL...

Your husband is a lucky man to have someone make him a beautiful keepsake like that & adding the birthday sentiment on this inside was perfect. Love the tone on tone color of this. Simply gorgeous & I can tell it was not only a lot of work but a labor of love.

I looked at all the photos before I read what you wrote, and no way did I think the "HB my Love" was an afterthought. It is just perfect, and what a labor of love! Stunning! Your hubby is a lucky man. :o)
