A Husband's Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Today my DH gave me a challenge. He gave me this cabinet sample that he's had in his office, at work for awhile, and wanted me to create something out of it.  Now this was really a challenge for me. I don't consider myself really creative, but I gave it the old college try. Here's the cabinet sample.

And this is what a made. A plaque/wall hanging.

I started off by sanding the board, to remove some of the varnish, and then painted the entire board black.

I then lightly painted the board white, and added some swirls and chandeliers that I cut using my Cricut Expression.

I added some roses I made, remember I'm addicted to making these, I guess it's time to move on to making a different type of flower. I also added a butterfly and white feathers.
I added some rhinestone to the chandeliers and to the picture. Then I added a doily behind the picture, of course.

Cut "TRUE LOVE" using my Cricut, and I was done. I made some mistakes, but I do like it a lot. Not too bad for my first attempt at an altered project. Maybe I can use it to decorate  the walls of my craft room. Well that's it for me. Have a fabulous day, and I'll blog with you later.

Hugs,
Regina

Your project turned out wonderful! If you hadn't shown the b4 photo, I never would have guessed what it looked like b4 you altered it. I noticed the comment you made about trying new flowers and wanted to recommend a blog to you. Moments of Tranquility by Natasha. She has tutorials for the most beautiful flowers! TFS and I love your blog.
